Installation of Ground Receiver Unit in Tonga for Buoy Transmission: Waverider Programme : A visit was carried out to Tonga between the 28th to 30th October 1987. The purpose of the visit was to install the ground receiver unit at a favorable site where the buoy transmission could be received, power would be available, and the unit and processing PC could be attended daily in a secure compound.
National Consultations Tuvalu: PIEPSAP Project : A consultation workshop was arranged with the Department of Energy on Tuesday 8th January, 2005. The purpose of the workshop was to brief the representatives of the various line ministries, departments and other stakeholders about the PIEPSAP Project. During the consultation it was agreed that the representatives would make up the PIEPSAP National Task Force and the Energy Planner would be the National Team Coordinator.
