Tokelau renewable energy project case study. This case study provides a technical description of the three PV systems, as well as a cost breakdown of the Tokelau project. 

Report was prepared on the Infrastructure Priorities for Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade. The primary objective is to identify local priorities for infrastructure development on each of the atolls of Tokelau, taking into account the Tokelau Development Plans and NZODA principles and policies. The present study evaluates the technical, economical, financial and institutional feasibility of grid-connected photovoltaic power generation for the islands of Tokelau. It compares various options and identifies a solution that shows the best Economic Rate of Return. It also defines the hardware requirements for the system configuration preferred by Tokelau Power Systems (TPS).

The Tafa’igata facility is built primarily to receive septage but also to receive certain sludge from other sources. 

This report was prepared by Herbert Wade, Bruce Clay and Mewang Gyeltshen. The intended outcome of this preparatory phase is a detailed grid extension and off-grid renewable energy based rural electrification program to provide the remaining non-electrified households in Samoa with 24-hour power. As part of this preparatory phase a consultancy was undertaken for household survey design, surveyor training design, survey analysis, a feasibility study and preparation of a Project Document for completion of electrification in Samoa.
