The initiative of sustainability is driven from the top management of the university. The Energy Management Plan supplements the Strategic Theme of ‘Environment, Sustainable Development and Climate Change’ from the USP Strategic Plan 2013-2018. To implement the theme the Energy Efficiency Working Group (EEWG) has been formed.

The Annual reports   2017 highlights Solomon Power Electricity Authority Financial Position together with an Independent auditor's report(Ernst & Young Fiji) viewing true and fair view of the finanical position of Solomon Power as at  31st December 2017 .

The net profit for the year ending 2017 were  SBD80 million (US$10m).

This report was prepared by the International Institute for Energy Conservation for the Renewable Energy and Efficiency Partnership. The objective of this study is to analyse the characteristics of major appliance and lighting products and markets in Marshall Islands, in order to inform and support decision making on the most effective Standards & Labelling (S&L) strategy for Marshall Islands. The data gathered includes information on appliance brands, country of manufacture and origin.
