Pacific Islands Energy Policy (2004)

This document represents a regional consensus, affirmed at the 2004 Regional Energy Meeting in Madang, Papua New Guinea and is based on an earlier version of the regional energy policy affirmed in the Cook Islands in 2002 and with due consideration to the Rarotonga Declaration.

The review of the Pacific Islands Energy Policy has been coordinated by the Council of Regional Organisations in the Pacific (CROP) - Energy Working Group in close consultation with the Energy Officials from Pacific island countries and territories (PICTs).

Republic of the Marshall Islands Outer Island Electrification Strategy

This report was prepared by the Ministry of Resources & Development OIES of Marshall Islands. This strategy for outer island electrification is part of the overall Strategic Plan of the Ministry of Resources and Development. Its aim is to provide a practical tool for the Marshallese authorities to establish priorities and prepare actions to ensure a successful and sustainable access to and use of electricity in the country’s outer islands and rural areas.

Balancing Energy Reform in the Kingdom of Tonga - TIS REEEP Strategic Framework Report

A strategic pathway for TERM. This report was prepared by Mark Fogarty. The aim of this TIS REEEP Report is to contribute to the considerable effort on offer in attempting to reform Tonga’s Energy agenda. It is presented as a first third party analysis to comment on the progress to implement the Tonga Energy Road Map (TERM). The objective of TIS REEEP is to provide a framework for the Government of Tonga (GoT) which bridges in a strategic and operational sense between TERM and the key phases of TERM implementation.
