The Prioties & Action Agenda is an integration and prioritisation ofthe action agendas contained in the already accepted
and ongoingnational and provincial programsincluding the CRP, Business Forum Outcomesand the
Rural Economic Development Initiatives (REDI) Plans. The overall objective is to link policy and
planning withthe limitedresources the government controls. This will ensure thatthe most urgent and
important outcomes of these programsare achievablein the medium term.

Towards a Brighter Future for All A Transformative Sector-Wide Programme

Energy is a fundamental enabler and catalyst for economic development and for enhancing the livelihoods and well-being of all Vanuatu citizens. This National Energy Road Map (“Road Map”) presents the Government of Vanuatu’s comprehensive action plan for developing the energy sector in a systematic, rational, and strategic and sustainable manner over the medium term, for the benefit of all its citizens nationwide.

Development Partners Forum held inTarawa, Kiribati from 13 -1 4 March 2014. Agenda Item 5: Towards an energy secure Kiribati. Paper provides an overview on the Energy Sector highlighting the key policy areas, strategies and key expected outcomes and results. Povides description of the current situation and possible areas of intervention.

Kiribati Development Plan 2012 - 2015. Plan is to guide efforts at all levels in achieving development aspirations and vision of the government.

Kiribati national energy policy, build on the Kiribati Development Plan 2008 - 2011. Provides a single framework to admnister all energy and energy-related activities.

Assessment reviews the energy sector in relation to the development of renewable energy sources in the country, describing how the RRA workshop in Kiribati contributes to the development of an action plan to scale up the deployment of renewable energy sources in Kiribati.

The Nauru Energy Road Map 2014 - 2020 builds upon the energy sector development agenda laid out in the National Sustainable Development Strategy 2005 - 2025 (revised 2009) and the National Energy Policy Framework (NEPF) of 2009.
