ECREEE is seeking to hire a Sustainable Energy, Technical Expert.
Main Roles and Responsibilities
Under the supervision of the Project Manager, the Sustainable Energy Expert will implement the following activities:
- Advise the Project Manager on strategic, operational and technical issues of the USAID project and guarantee coordination between ECREEE and USAID;
- Assist the Project Manager in the definition of the activities to be financed by the USAID contribution, ensuring that they are adequately implemented and key outputs are consistent with the goals of the programme.
- Guide the Project Manager and ECREEE’s team on the elaboration of the technical and financial reports related to the funded activities.
- Manage, plan, implement and follow up all the project activities;
- Provide ad-hoc technical advice to relevant stakeholders in the implementation of project’s activities; including recipient countries.
- Hire the services of external experts or engage executing entities if required;
- Plan and follow up on the project activities, in coordination with the Project Coordinator, assuring timely and efficient implementation; monitor implementation of project activities according to defined protocols;
- Prepare periodical follow-up reports (Quarterly interim reports/Progress reports) for the Project Coordinator and lead and coordinate the preparation of the periodical reports to USAID;
- Support the organization of regional events and national activities related to the project;
- Ensure funds requests are submitted on time to guarantee a smooth financial implementation of the project and coordinate the implementation of basic and fiduciary standards, principles and Environmental and social safe guard requirements of USAID.
