Reporting to the Executive Board, the Executive Director (ED) will manage the successful completion of the first operational phase and the establishment of the program and project portfolio of the Centre. In this role, the ED will have direct oversight for the technical program of the Centre and will support the execution of CARICOM Regional and Sub‑regional initiatives, programs, projects and activities under the Caribbean Sustainable Energy Roadmap and Strategy (C‑SERMS). In view of the foregoing, the Executive Director will coordinate the activities of the Centre with the Energy Unit of the CARICOM Secretariat, and work closely with development partners and other supporting institutions, particularly the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) and SIDS DOCK, to strengthen the strategic partnerships that are necessary for enabling to Centre in the discharge of its mandate.
