Engineer Maged Karam El Din, Head of Projects and Technical Affairs at the Regional Centre for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency (RCREEE) participated in the "Transparency and Communication with Consumers in the Energy Sector" workshop on Monday, July 14, 2014. 

Among many topics, the workshop addressed the restructuring program for the electricity tariff in Egypt, which was officially released after the workshop and published in the Official newspaper. The impact of the restructuring programs on various consumer sectors were discussed in detail. As such, the workshop falls within the framework of the center’s interaction with the latest developments in RCREEE’s Member States’ energy sector.

The workshop was organized by “the Egyptian National Council for the Joint German Competitiveness” and by “the Egyptian Electric Utility and Consumer Protection Regulatory Agency” at the Information Decision Support Center of the Egyptian Cabinet.
