In attempt to solve Electricity consumption challenges in Egypt, the government has agreed connecting the Egyptian and Saudi Arabia grid which would allow 3,000 megawatts exchange during peak times. After the legal review of the agreement the Egyptian government approved the project. However, it still waits for the approval of the Saudi Arabia government to start implanting the power interconnection project.
