Praia, January 25th, 2023 – The ECOWAS Centre for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency (ECREEE), opens its doors to receive 4 interns for a period of 12 months within the framework of the ECOWAS Internship Immersion Program for young graduates in ECOWAS Institutions with the goal of professional integration.
The program is aimed to support young graduates to improve their professional proficiency while offering their support, skills, and knowledge in the implementation of programs and projects in favor of the citizens of the region. Hence, the Internship offers the opportunity for the professionals to be fully immersed and involved with the programs carried out, and ECREEE offers a favorable environment for them to freely contribute with their fresh and innovative ideas in an environment of mutual learning.
According to the Executive Director of ECREEE, Mr. Francis Sempore, this is a laudable initiative by the ECOWAS Commission that will enable the young professionals to offer their contribution as citizens of the region to attain the ECOWAS objective of promoting economic cooperation among member states in order to raise living standards and promote economic development.
The following young professionals joined the ECREEE team:
- Ms. Dorriane Hina Rocha Dias Lopes, Cabo Verde, Renewable Energy;
- Ms. Jihane Bakounoure, Benin, Energy Efficiency;
- Ms. Sylviane Laurence Kiswendsida Lalogo, Burkina Faso, Finance;

Ms. Lopes further added that this could serve as an extra motivator to undergraduates to develop theses and projects to tackle such challenges.
