Dr. Mohammad Nagdee, Executive Director of The Caribbean Centre for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency (CCREEE), is thrilled to have represented The Centre at the Caribbean National Infrastructure Investment Plans Workshop in Washington, D.C., September 25-26, 2024. The event was organized as part of the IDB's ONE Caribbean framework.
During the "Modern Infrastructure Planning" session, he engaged with key experts, including Nathalie Gaullier, Global Manager, FAST Infra Label Secretariat; Juan Cruz Vieyra, Modernization of State Lead Specialist, IDB; and moderator, Lorena Solórzano, IDB Country Representative for Guyana, to discuss topics such as energy transitions, sustainability, innovation, digitalization, and regional integration.
Dr. Nagdee indicated that “Regional energy integration for the Caribbean really comes down to addressing our unique vulnerabilities and taking a more comprehensive approach to energy planning. It’s about creating an energy system that supports every part of our economies and societies and helps us tackle the dual challenges of climate change and economic vulnerability".
