This act was prepared by the Government of Vanuatu. An Act to establish the Utilities Regulatory Authority and for related purposes.

This report was prepared by the Central Planning and Policy Office and the Economic Policy Division Government of the Cook Islands. “Te Kaveinga Nui” was developed to guide the national development into the future. It is a pathway that sets out a 15 year visionary framework called ‘Living the Cook Islands Vision – A 2020 Challenge’. The starting point for meeting our long term vision is the National Sustainable Development Plan (NSDP) 2007-2010.

This amendment policy was prepared by the Te Aponga Uira (TAU). The purpose of this amendment policy is to outline the arrangements required to achieve an effective and consistent implementation of Grid connected renewable generation, to clarify the criteria for current net metering incentives, and to introduce the gross metering and independent power producer categories.

This report was prepard by Transenergie for the Fiji Department of Energy. Funded by the French Agency for Development.  The main objectives of this task are to (i) define the optimal institutional and regulatory framework of the project based on the results of the FIJI RESCO Project and (ii) a financial mechanism suitable for the sustained operation of the project, based on the public/private partnership concept already operational nut to be improved.

This presentation was prepared by the Fiji Ministry of Public Enterprises. The key objective of this restructure is to deregulate the energy sector and reduce Government obligations, Have an efficient and vibrant energy sector that creates a platform for private sector participation, Clean energy through capital and technological injection by encouraging International Divestment Partners and also good Independent Power Producers (IPP’s), Aligning energy sector to international best practices.

This presentation was prepared by FEA (Fiji Electricity Authority). The vision is to energise the nation and the mission is to aim to provide clean and affordable energy solutions to Fiji with at least 90% of the energy requirements through renewable source by 2025.

The combined plenary Energy and Transport officials meeting was co-hosted by the government of Fiji and the Secretariat of the Pacific Community (SPC) and was held on 31st March 2014 and 1st April 2014 at the Novotel Hotel in Nadi, Fiji.

This report only touches briefly on petroleum.
