On December 4th 2012, the Jordanian capital Amman hosted the final Solar Med Atlas Workshop under the auspices of H.E Alaa Al Batayneh, Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources of Jordan. The event was organized by the German Aerospace Center (DLR), the Regional Center for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency (RCREEE), l’Observatoire Mediterranéen de l’Energie (OME), and the other project partners. Several Arab countries participated in the workshop. The objective of the project is to develop a high quality and easy accessible multilingual database of available solar resources in the Mediterranean, including for the first time Arabic language, through a web-based solar atlas.
