The applications for the 19th edition of the Micro-Grid Academy are now open. For the first time in the story of the MGA, this edition will be dedicated to South Africa, and, for this reason, it was organised with the support of our local partners: the SADC Centre for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency (SACREEE), South African Renewable Energy Technology Centre (SARETEC) and the Energy & Water Sector Education Training Authority (EWSETA).
The week-long training course will be held from the 20th to the 24th of September 2021, focusing on specific topics related to micro-grids such as grid connection, technological architecture, and management systems. If you are a technician, student, operator, entrepreneur, or another type of professional from the Southern African Development Community (SADC) Region don’t miss this opportunity! The training course will count on the participation of lecturers belonging to RES4Africa stakeholders and MGA partners, being qualified local and international experts in the renewable energy value chain, academics, and highly skilled technicians. The students will attend the lessons via video lectures of 3-4 hours each and they will have the chance of acquiring first-hand practical know-how on delivering energy access with a techno-economic comparison. An individual certificate will be released upon completion of this session.
Deadline for applications: 25th August 2021, at 12.00 p.m. SAST
