This week, The government approved a US $20 million loan to help financing a wind power scheme with 60 MG capacity. The scheme was originally planned based on an agreement between OPEC Fund for International Development and the Yemeni government. The project, planned to be sited at Mocha, aims at decreasing country’s dependency on fossil fuels in energy generation with a total costs of nearly $125 million.
